A Flicker in the Blue ( Lantern in the Snow )
While the lantern sits alone, the branches above are draped in a string of lights. Those snow-covered bare branches, and that old lantern, and they turned into something magical with fairy lights and swirling colors. You can find beauty and magic in ordinary things. This is a serene painting (acrylic on canvas) depicting a magical winter night. Also, it got some Christmas vibes. The painting relies heavily on complementary temperatures. Painted on a 12x16" pre-primed canvas. Secured with Medium Gloss varnish.
